Oregon Duck brings cheer to patients and staff

Known for entertaining fans at University of Oregon sporting events, the Duck mascot escaped the stadiums and visited Willamette Valley Cancer Institute on Monday. During his hour-long visit, the Duck (affectionately named “Puddles”) gave high-fives and hugs and posed for  pictures with our smiling patients and staff.

Through connections with the University of Oregon, the owner of local apparel company McKenzie by Sew On arranged for the Duck to visit WVCI...

Behind the scenes with radiation therapist Kerry Whalen

As a radiation therapist, Kerry Whalen has the opportunity to establish close relationships with her patients who receive daily treatments at Willamette Valley Cancer Institute.
